THE INTERNET BENEFITS

In the article, “ Human Rights Report Faults China’s Curbs On Internet “ the author describes the issue of blocking the Internet access. At present, there are many countries limiting the access of Internet. Also, many people are imprisoned simply for expressing their peaceful views online. Other countries are applying regulations against NGOs and the mass media for political freedom. Many people use the Internet with good objectives. The Internet should not be limited because it provides good learning resources, good communication and technology and good economic impact for many countries.
Many people use the Internet in order to widen their knowledge and to be ready to confront the different challenges that high learning demand. For instance, many teachers in my country are being trained in using the internet resources and the different websites that provide information related to the level and class they are teaching. As a result many teachers have been experiencing technology versus classes and they are very happy with the results students are receiving. Many students have expressed the difference in the classes they are taking now by saying that they feel classes are more interesting and motivating when they use the Internet. For that reason the internet is a valuable resource that offers people, students and the society in general good opportunities in a globalize world.
The Internet is also an important means of communication. Today communication and technology are both broad disciplines that allocate many benefits. For example, in my city, there are many students that belong to communities. They used to spend many days doing their homework and usually had to come to the city to get books or information that helped them to finish their homework. Nowadays, they have the Internet café that provides this service for $1 an hour. Also, communities’ people had to go to the city to make phone calls. Now they communicate using the e-mail. These are some of the common benefits given by the Internet.
This is also a good way to protect the economy of the country and citizens as well. The Internet has provided many business people the chance to do business and advertise online, which has given a real boost to the world’s economy. For example, I had to buy a book for my new class novel and film with Ms. Heidi. Unfortunately, books ran out at the university bookstore and I did not know what to do. So, my friend explained to me the way I could order it on the internet and finally I have the book with me.
In conclusion, neither countries nor government can limit the Internet use so far, because that would be like living outside of the planet earth. The Internet should be available to all people to improve their economic situation, their communication and their lifesyles.

HOMEWORK AND YOUTUBE

Many people say that two things cannot be done at the same time. Let me tell you that I like to type my writing homework and to listen to music or to watch videos in YouTube. I found it calming and relaxing. According to my experience, there are some aspects to take into account when doing homework and listening to music or chatting. First, adjust the volume and be sure you don’t have to interpret any text. Make sure you are not doing something that demands you to reflect your point of view or make comments. Loud music will not help you to focus on demanding homework. I also like listening to some music after a long class, because it makes me relax and puts me under sedation. Some teachers say it is not good to be doing two things at the same time. Today many students like doing both things and have a great time. For instance, a friend of mine says he can not study if he doesn’t listen to rock music. He says that he feels like music makes him alive and also makes him feel like he is not tired. Technology is so amazing that we as students or people cannot avoid using it. A few years ago, if you wanted to see videos you had to go to the movies or any other place. Today technology gives you an easier life. Sometimes homework is difficult, but you don’t even know it or see it because you are working under music’s effects. It is incredible how many things have changed so far.

MY EATING CULTURE ( BY JULIO ROA)

MY EATING CULTURE

In my country, some people enjoy eating by using their fingers instead of the spoon. They say that food’s taste is mouth-watering when using their fingers. Nevertheless, other people say that is rude and disrespectful, using their fingers instead of the spoon. People usually like to have big portions instead of quality. Families usually eat wherever they want to, no matter if there is a dinning room. The place is not a problem. Nevertheless, some people like eating all together like a real family. Customs change from one family to the other. In my family, portion is very important, and when were kids, we used to fight for big portions. Today, we care about big portions, but we have grown up and fighting would not be a good idea. When visit someone, there is a strong chance that you will be invited to eat; it is not appropriate to refuse their invitation, because they might believe you don’t like to eat what they eat or you eat better food. If you eat in a friend’s house, you will have to eat with that friend, specifically in his house. Eating in his house is like a reward for being friendly.

THE TWO SIDES OF THE INTERNET( BY JULIO ROA)

RESEARCH PROPOSAL

THE TWO SIDES OF THE INTERNET

I became interested in the Internet topic after reading some remarkable articles that provide a lot of information about the Internet benefits as well as the drawbacks, particularly articles related to children and the Internet. The Internet is a collection of interconnected computer networks, linked by copper wires, fiber – optic uses small cables, and wireless connection (Boustany, 2007). The World Wide Web is one of the services available via the Internet along with various others including e-mail, file sharing, online gaming and others. According to Internet World States (2007), as of December 30, 2007, 1.319 billion people use the Internet for different purposes. According to Slabber (2007), a writer on policy issues for the Washington, D.C. has asserted that the Internet is becoming a basic feature of global civilization. At present, there is a strong controversy about whether it should be restricted or if it should not. Some people talk about narrowing the technology gap (Boustany, 2007). Other people say that freedom in cyberspace is a pre –requisite for an information society ( Utsumi, 2005). In fact, the Internet is a very popular resource among people today.
In my paper, I plan on writing that the Internet has abundant information and benefits, but it should be limited among the children whose ages range between 6 and 12 years old. First, children become addicted. Secondly, children can experience pornography online. Next, children experience violent games that can cause a negative effect.
I have found notable resources about advantages and disadvantages as well as helpful websites with fascinating information. I still need to find articles related to the different games offered by the Internet.

FOOD IS DELICIOUS AT EL SESTEO RESTAURANT ( BY JULIO ROA

FOOD IS DELICIOUS AT EL SESTEO RESTAURANT ( BY JULIO ROA)

EL Sesteo restaurant is a very popular restaurant in the city where i live. Many people like to go to El Sesteo because the food is really appetizing. If i could go now, i would order beef on the grill, which is delicious. Unfortunately, everything has two sides. You need to have much money with you because food is very classy and expensive. Some people usually go when theycelebrate an important event, birthday party or social gathering. The other point is that if you like dancing, you can't. They offer just slow music and it is very loud. Young people do not like going to El Sesteo because they say El Sesteo is boring and is just for old people, even though they do not doubt that the food is mouth- watering. They also say that you need to have cash in your pocket or you might end up doing the dishes.
